Do you know what makes a good game?
We’re pretty sure you do, so make your opinion count – and help independent developers at the same time. Each game’s campaign ends after 28 days, and if the response is strong, we may offer to support the project in the future!

We don’t want to give too much of the story away, but…
It’s been a couple of months since the attack on the facility and Tyler has been able to crawl through the air vents in this area, sneak by the mercenary guards, and scavenge enough food to survive. He hopes they won’t find his hiding place. Though he’s frightened, eventually he’s going to have to leave.
Many were shot and killed in the raid, but a few were rounded up and taken somewhere, underground. Scared and cold, Tyler misses his dad. He had left him with the dummy some time before it all happened, but is his dad still here? Is he even still alive? If he’s in the facility, he’ll know how to escape and get them home.
If only Tyler could find some help.
Escape Velocity is a genre-defining experience that blends action and puzzle elements to tell a character-driven story about a frightened young boy’s search for his father. Months after a violent corporate raid, the Elysia Corporation's facility is reclaimed by nature, as marauding mercenaries scavenge it. Tyler, and his father’s prototype crash dummy, must work together to survive their perilous journey through a battered and hostile environment.
Set in the near future, in a huge research facility that is raided by corporate-government mercenaries, there is much more to this place than the green-tinted glass cubicles imply. There are reality-changing technologies being researched at the Elysia Corporation, but secrets are hard to keep..
Escape Velocity is a single player adventure that requires players to use both the boy, Tyler, and the prototype dummy’s unique abilities to survive. They must work together to ultimately escape the facility. Animated with vivid hand-drawn art, the cinematic gameplay channels the iconic roots of action/adventure classics like Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
Narrative: Escape Velocity is a non-linear action adventure game, where a personal, intense and compelling story drive the action. It is a game filled with challenging puzzle elements, complex characters with authentic dialogue, and a gripping plot. Your decisions throughout the game will determine the ultimate outcome of young boy on a search for his father and the remaining survivors of an occupied science facility.
Environment: Fully 3D rendered, the environment is a huge research facility, with a proving grounds, in which to discover and explore. A fixed camera system is utilized to allow players to survey the area and try to survive. While crash tests are one of the fields of research for the Elysia Corporation, there are many other top secret research trials underway. A violent event and the passage of time transform the modern palace of discovery into a hazardous maze with perils around every corner.
Puzzle solving: Tyler and his companion, an animated and conscious crash dummy prototype, are hardly a match for the mercenaries. Players can take control of either character, switch back and forth to use their natural abilities to solve puzzles and try to escape the facility. While Tyler is obviously more mobile than a prototype android, the crash dummy is tied into the facility and can access and manipulate the computer systems. While the game utilizes mainly sequential puzzle solving through actions and dialogue, there are also optional branches that may alter later events.
Escape Velocity is essentially a narrative driven, 3D adventure game with classic survival horror elements, borrowing some structural components of iconic puzzle games like Portal.

We’re a very small group of passionate developers, and while this is our first game as a team, we do have a lot of experience in games, film, and animation. We think we have a great story to tell and are excited to share it with you. We’ve put a lot of hard work and love into this project already, and are in the process of finishing up a playable demo.
We don’t think you need a hundred million dollar budget and an army of developers to make a great adventure game. We do know, however, that we can’t do this all by ourselves. We need you to spread the word and give us your feedback. So, go ahead - vote and comment below!
