Apocalypse Cow is a narrative driven action comedy. It's an explosive platformer that borrows modern storytelling from games like Bioshock and Tomb Raider and combines it with the intensity of action that only an arcade game can provide.

We call it a cinematic arcade platformer.

Penny is a young GameWalker with the ability to freeze time. You will use this ability to face armies alone and survive bullets, rockets, lasers and bad jokes. You will blow-up walls and jump on the debris before they hit the ground. Or you will walk through explosions like a badass poser.

The game is hardcore*. It is difficult. But there is no penalty for death... except your pride. Because we have a death counter and we'll rub it in your face!!

* A granny difficulty mode is available to make things easier if there's too much awesomeness for you.

Apocalypse Cow is a story driven game. You live in VideoVerse, the digital universe. CandyWorld, once a digital world of happiness and unicorns, is now a violent, thug infested hell-hole. In this changed and dangerous world you embark on a journey to find your friend's missing robot and along the way you learn the true meaning of friendship and family.

VideoVerse, the digital universe. A vast complex of GameWorlds , ever expanding. Those with the ability to travel between worlds are called GameWalkers - and they are powerful.

One of the worlds is CandyWorld. But what was once a place of happiness and unicorns, an accident has turned into a violent, thug infested hell-hole.

In this changed and dangerous world a little girl (that should really get on Prozac) embarks on a journey with her friends to find their missing giant robotic cow.

During their adventure she will learn herself, she will manifest an ability to rupture time and she will discover the true meaning of friendship and family.

The game will offer local co-op play, giving you the chance to enjoy the story and fight for what is right alongside your BFF. The second character controls The Kid, the protagonists imaginary friend.

In multiplayer mode the story remains the same but the levels slightly change, providing challenges that can only be overcome by two players. And if your partner is not very helpful don't worry - several levels have a PvP arena in the end, giving you a chance to get your revenge!

We start with Windows and Mac.

We look forward to the opportunity of bringing this game to all major consoles and Linux. Ideally we would like to make Apocalypse Cow available on as many systems as we can, depending on audience interest and the platform holders themselves.

The best way for you to show us your support is to wishlist the game as soon as the Steam store page goes live. Even if you don't buy the game, it will really help us on Day-1.

Apocalypse Cow is being developed by Monsters, a new small indie games studio in Athens, Greece. We are driven by our passion for gaming but our country doesn't have an advanced gaming industry sector and we lack the opportunities and the experience other studios have.

The collective is an opportunity for us to level the playing field a bit and a chance to start building a community. We really care about our game and we want to have the opportunity to bring the best possible product to you.
